Sach Ka Samna

There was lot of hue and cry over a reality show called “Sach Ka saamna”. Many viewers complained that the show is vulgar. Some even demanded that the show be banned as the type of questions asked to the contestants were too personal, embarrassing, unsuitable for general public. I don’t want to enter into any controversy or debate over this issue. But the point I am trying to make is that we have by and large built up our relationship based on heaps of lies. The truth is buried deep inside it. We are scared of uncovering the truth as it will expose our true self,. which will ultimately destroy our relationships. Our friends, colleagues, relatives all will turn into foes. Wife will divorce husband and the vice versa. Are we prepared to speak the truth and face the consequences. Not only will it destroy our relationship, it will take away our material possessions also which we have accumulated over a period of time through unfair means. Our life will become miserable. We will be alienated from the rest of the world. But why is it that every textbook, every religion, every tongue says “Speak the truth”. Truth is God. Mahatma Gandhi always spoke the truth. He had no material possessions, no bank balance but spiritually, he was a great leader. His relationship with people was based on truth. He was not hypocrite, doublespeak, opportunistic, manipulator as most of our leaders are today. Jesus Christ was humiliated, tortured, crucified on the cross because he spoke the truth.. Speaking truth is as painful as walking on razor sharp material. It needs lot of courage, grit, determination to speak truth which leads us to eternity. Lies give lot of material comfort and luxury but ultimately, leads us to distruction and death. Choice is ours what we want.

Well Sir its all individuals choice if he or she wants to come n speak the truth...n as i far as m concerned they are still not speaking the truth as its just for money they are speaking.

Well leaving the show..yes your right every religion says speak the truth, everyone says..even u n me but do we follow what we say. NO...we all have some gray side in us and i think it can never be cleaned...perhaps thats what makes us call humans. Humans are the most dangerous species...lol!!!

Even the great Mahatma Gandhi was not spared..why because he always spoke the truth. Even mahatma's are not spared. Reality bites...we all like be in a schizophrenic state of mind, n never want to see what the truth is.
The day u cant see yourself on the mirror...that day is "Sach Ka Samna" as one can lie to everyone, but not yourself when it stands naked in front of u!!

** After a long time i visited your blog sir..n was welcomed by a lovely post!!! great!!

Thank u Nazish for your intelligent comments. You are right. We are all having shades of grey area. Truth is white and lie is black. We come somewhere in between. It is the degree of blackness that differs from person to person. I have lied and whenever I did lie, there was tremendous sense of guilt in me. Sometimes, even when I tried to lie, truth came out instead. May be bcz I lie very rarely.

Shilpa, Truth is very bitter. you get hurt when you face truth.Lies are sweet, very pleasing to hear.
You do what you think is right.
